I just finished a two-part message series on receiving God’s favor. It is interesting to see just how many people received God’s favor in the Bible- Noah, Moses, Samuel, Nehemiah, Mary…the list goes on. To be favored by God is to have more than just a good day- it is to have a good month or even a good year. It is a season where things go well for you.
We discovered two things about people who receive the favor of the Lord:
- They leave a life of routine for a life of extreme.
- They live faithfully one more day.
I’m convinced that we often quit too early on God. Had we hung on in faith for one more day, or week or month, we would have reached a place where His blessing was ours. We’ve started a phrase at Sweetwater River Church … “One more day…”
