It’s Tuesday morning after a Monday holiday and I’m already behind a day. It puts a little pressure on to get things done.
Sometimes we just need to realize that we won’t get it all done. That frees the mind to concentrate on the most important tasks at hand. Instead of crossing multiple items off of a to-do list, concentrate on the one or two items that are critical and need attention. Everything else can wait.
Every week I have the opportunity to step onto a platform and talk about Jesus Christ. It is one of the most important things I do. I can’t procrastinate on message preparation until Saturday because it takes me several days to approach God’s Word creatively and declare it creatively. Message preparation is one of my critical items each week. I jump on it early and keep working on it right up until the end.
At the end of this week I will still have items that need to be done but my most important tasks will not have been ignored.
