Tomorrow I begin a new message series at Sweetwater River Church titled “Rebel With a Cause.” This will be the longest series I’ve done in over a year- 21 weeks- and will take us through the book of Romans. I’m excited for this series because I’ve become convinced that too many people don’t have a cause worth living for. Paul wrote Romans as a rebel for Jesus Christ. His life was summed up in Romans 1:16: “I’m not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God.” He definitely had found his cause to live for.
The platform is decorated 50′s retro- a nod to James Dean, the “Rebel Without A Cause.” Through this series at the end of many of the messages, I will be telling a story about two people, not real but composites of people I’ve met. We’ll follow them as they make a journey towards becoming rebels with a cause.
