As I promised the people of Sweetwater River Church, here is a list of verses from the Bible for memorizing. This is not a list that covers every possible topic. What I did was go through the New Testament portion of my Bible , reviewing all the vereses I have high-lighted over the years. I then picked what I consider to be key verses that every person who wants to follow Jesus Christ should begin to learn.
You’ll notice that most of these are stand alone verses. The only passage I listed is the Lord’s Prayer…no Psalm 23 or the 10 commandments those these are certainly worth memorizing. My list is skewed towards the New Testament. There are a lot of great verses in the OT and I listed a couple of them.
